What is Cannabis Oil?
Cannabis oil is a substance that is extracted from the cannabis plant. It is also known as Hemp oil, Marijuana oil, Hash oil, Cannabinoid oil, Cannabidiol oil or CBD oil. The oil is comprised of cannabinoids, which is a sticky thick substance. This substance can be made up of various cannabinoids, but the most common are CBD (Cannabidiol) & THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol). THC is the primary psychoactive compound in cannabis that provides a high feeling, whereas CBD has no psychoactive effects whatsoever.
What are the health benefits of Cannabis?
Research shows benefit in a wide range of conditions including chronic pain, chemotherapy-induced nausea, some forms of epilepsy, muscle spasm in multiple sclerosis, arthritis, fibromyalgia, sleep disorders, weight loss or gain associated with HIV, Tourette’s syndrome, anxiety disorder, PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) and Alzheimer's disease. People with inflammatory bowel disease and glaucoma have also reported benefits. It may even aid in treating some forms of cancer.
